Are you experiencing low back pain, diastasis recti, incontinence, painful intercourse, hemmorhoids, or symphysis pubis pain? These are all symptoms of pelvic floor dysfunction. It is very common to experience these things in the postpartum period and a large number of us continue to experience pelvic girdle pain and dysfunction long after birth. While it is common, it isn’t an inevitable part of carrying and birthing our children and we don’t have to live with it. While I always recommend connecting with an experienced Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist and a Chiropractor, yoga can also help. As a response to the many stories I have heard from women whom have struggled with pelvic floor dysfunction, I am now offering workshops and private in-home yoga sessions to help connect mindfully to this part of ourselves that we don’t like to talk about.
